PLENARY SESSIONS AND WORKSHOPS

There will be two plenary roundtables sessions. One plenary session will include the Presidential Session of “Back to the Roots of Environmental Sociology” by former and current Presidents of RC 24, IRSA and JAES and one additional plenary session on the conference theme of “New Directions for Environmental Sociology in the Twenty-First Century.”

Frederick Buttel has been and will be the RC 24 President from 1998-2002. Frank Vanclay is the President of International Rural Sociology Association from 2000.

"Each workshop will have two organizers who will play the lead role in formulating the workshop program. Workshops will include both contributed papers and papers solicited by the workshop chairs.
